Truckee

Town Council: Second and Fourth Tuesdays of Every Month

Regular Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at Truckee Town Hall located at 10183 Truckee Airport Road, Truckee. Town Council Meetings are accessible via live streaming online and also televised by Truckee Tahoe Community Television. Tune in live at 5:00 p.m. on local Channel 18. Truckee General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC): Next Meeting: TBD

The GPAC – a temporary Council advisory committee tasked with making recommendations on amendments to the Truckee General Plan to the Truckee Planning Commission and Town Council – consists of volunteer community members representing a wide variety of backgrounds, perspectives and interests, and will play a critical role in developing an inclusive planning effort that ensures broad public participation. The creation of the GPAC was one of several opportunities for public participation supported by Council to involve a variety of stakeholders, community perspectives, and interests.

Nevada County

Board of Supervisors: Second and Fourth Tuesdays of Every Month

Nevada County will hold its regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors remotely. This meeting is broadcast live on Nevada County Media Channel 17 in the Western County and on Suddenlink Channel 78 in the Eastern County, and can be viewed live through the web at www.mynevadacounty.com/boardmeetings. Closed Captioning is available for hearing impaired viewers. Members of the public who are unable to view the meeting on television or through the web may call 1 (415) 655-0001 to listen to the meeting live. You will be prompted to provide Meeting ID# 182 072 6354 & Password# 949 55 822.

Placer County

Board of Supervisors Meetings: Second and Fourth Tuesdays of Every Month

The Placer County Board of Supervisors’ meeting AGENDA is typically posted by 5:00 PM on the Wednesday before the Board meeting, and is required to be available online 72 hours prior to the meeting. View the agenda HERE.

The board meeting will be open to in-person attendance or available on livestream HERE.

Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month at 10 a.m. The agendas for the Planning Commission are posted at least 72 hours before the meeting date.

Municipal Advisory Councils

Municipal Advisory Councils (MACs) were established by the Board of Supervisors to advise on matters of concern which relate to the area served. The MACs are specifically tasked with gathering input from the community on matters of concern which relate to the area served by the Municipal Advisory Council such as:

  • Land Use
  • Placer County Fire Protection
  • Placer County Law Enforcement
  • Placer County Parks
  • Public Health and Safety Concerns
  • Roads

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA)

Advisory Planning Commission: Second Wednesday of Every Month

The TRPA was the first bi-state regional environmental planning agency in the country, and regularly adopts environmental quality standards, called thresholds, then enforcing ordinances designed to achieve the thresholds. The Advisory Planning Commission – a 19-member Advisory Planning body consisting of local planners, general members of the community and other representatives who are experts in their fields – assists the Governing Board with technical and scientific issues. The Commission holds open meetings every month and encourages the public to take an active role in the decision-making process. Please view the TRPA Calendar for monthly meetings.

Governing Board: 4th Wednesday of Every Month

TRPA receives direction on decisions from a 15-member Governing Board.  Materials and registration for the meeting will be available one week prior to the meeting. 

Until further notice, all Governing Board meetings will take place online. Any interested member of the public will be able to participate and observe the meeting. Details will posted on the day of the meeting with a link to the GoToWebinar along with the link and instructions for public comments.
