Affordable/Low-Income Housing
Definition:
Low income, affordable and income qualified are all terms that describe housing that is set aside for families and individuals with incomes up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). To learn more about AMI, click here and see the infographic below.
There are several apartment complexes in the North Tahoe-Truckee Region that are available to those who qualify based on various low to moderate income categories. To learn more and find out if you qualify for one of these units, contact the property managers directly. See below for a list of the apartments in the region and the contact information. Many of these units have long wait lists. However, application reivew is a rolling process so it is always beneficial to submit an application.
