Get the Facts, King’s Beach Supportive Housing

The acquisition of the 7 Pines Motel in Kings Beach is the first permanent supportive housing project for our North Lake Tahoe Region, and you’re bound to have questions.

Measure K passes in Truckee!

Unofficial reports, show Measure K well on its way to passing with 85.15% voting YES. The $700,000 projected revenue will support workforce and affordable housing programs and services in Truckee for 20 years. Read the Sierra Sun article.

Placer County 2021-2029 Housing Element Update

The 2021-2029 Housing Element was released on October 30, 2020 and encompasses 44 implementation programs (including 24 new programs) to promote quality affordable housing in Placer County. There will be public comment opportunities at upcoming meetings with Placer County’s Planning Commission on November 12th and the Board of Supervisors on December 15th.

PROJECTS IN THE WORKS

Meadow View Place Workforce Housing Under Construction

Construction has begun on Meadow View Place in Martis Valley, a 56-unit workforce housing project for employees in Schaffer’s Mill, Martis Valley and the Truckee area. Anticipated to be completed by October 2021. More.

Town of Truckee Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Pilot Program Launched

Accessory Dwelling Units is one pathway to create more housing in the region. The Town of Truckee’s ADU Pilot Program includes pre-application support services, materials, resources and educational programs. The plan is to also offer loans and tenant matching services for deed-restricted units. More.
